Dr. Paul Chinen is Assistant Professor of Oboe at University of Nevada Las Vegas, Previously he served at the Assistant Professor of Oboe at Western Illinois University where he was a founding member of the Camerata Nova Contemporary Woodwind Quintet. He also serves as Second Oboe with Orchestra Iowa and previously held positions with the Great Falls Symphony, Chinook Winds Quintet, Helena Symphony, Florida Grand Opera, and Palm Beach Symphony. Paul has appeared with orchestras across the country and has been featured as a soloist with the WIU Wind Ensemble and the South East Iowa Symphony. He is featured on two NAXOS recordings and has held fellowships at major summer festivals. Paul holds degrees from the University of Miami, Lynn Conservatory, and George Mason University.
